Congratulations to Andy Seymour - winner of the 2007/2008 Singles Handicap!

The final of this year's Mark Limpus Singles Handicap saw Andy Seymour (0) take on Wayne Goddard (13) in a tough match, with Andy mostly in control. Wayne had a 13 point handicap in his favour, but Andy quickly overcame this advantage in the first frame with breaks of 24 and 31 to take the frame comfortably. The second frame was much closer, but with the black and pink tied up Andy made a wonderful break of 42 on the blue to take a 2 - 0 lead. The third frame again was tight and a gritty 22 break by Andy again saw him forge further ahead. With a determined fight back by Wayne in the fourth frame, and two excellent pressure shots on both the pink and black he took his first frame of the evening. Andy fought hard in the fourth and deciding frame to keep his advantage, and breaks of 27 and 34 got him over the finishing line.

Congratulations to Andy and Wayne, and many thanks to both players for an enjoyable final!
